10 10 the best
nice nice awsome i love darkness
Very beautiful in the kde 5.6 thanks.
Tragedy 2.01 fixes the issues in KDE 4.4.1. I'm one happy camper!! Thank you so much for getting this figured out. I'm now happily using Tragedy as my Desktop Theme along with the Tragedy Windows Decorations. Lancelot displays as it should. It all just works. Thank you, thank you, thank you, ....
This is still an issue. The typed text is nearly invisible. I've just installed your Ghost Desktop Theme, and Lancelot has the same issue with this theme - the typed text in the search bar is nearly invisible. If you can isolate this and find out what system setting is conflicting with Lancelot's color control settings, I would be very grateful.
I really love this theme, however, using it under KDE 4.4.0, Lancelot (plasma-widget-lancelot) doesn't display the menu entries text until you hover your mouse over the item. This did not happen pre-KDE 4.4.0 (KDE 4.3.5) and doesn't happen with the Oxygen Theme. Is this something that you can fix? It would be an absolute shame if I have to dump Tragedy due to this.
I'm surprised this theme isn't rated higher - come on people, vote positive and download/install it. This is an absolutely excellent theme. I've stopped looking for any others. Kudos to the designer.
I'm a fan of dark themes and wallpapers. This theme is absolutely great! It is a thing of beauty. Well done.
I've just released a new version of the Tragedy window decoration! It should mesh a bit better with the updated plasma theme. http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Tragedy+Deco?content=109918

Excellent theme! And very original and striking, unlike most of the themes here. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words! I will certainly try to! =)
Hi, first, Tragedy became my favorite Theme, so thanks and keep up the good work :) Unfortunately, the hide and show buttons in the system tray are not shown, if the tray is placed on a vertical panel (see: http://img146.imageshack.us/i/traywoicons.png/). Fortunately clicking on the blank space works, but it'd be nice if this can be fixed. Cheers, Arthur
Thanks for the compliment! I will look into this problem as soon as possible, likely tomorrow afternoon. =)
Unfortunately, I cannot seem to reproduce this behavior and the artwork looks fine. I think perhaps it could be related to older files left behind in the theme folder. Please give this a try first to be sure any older files are not lingering behind. Switch to another theme besides Tragedy Type into a terminal: rm ~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme/tragedy Then simply reinstall the theme and switch back. If the problem persists: Switch your theme to anything besides Tragedy Issue these commands in a terminal to clear the plasma cache: rm ~/.kde/cache-*/plasma* rm ~/.kde/cache-*/kpc/plasma* Restart Plasma and switch back to Tragedy Please let me know if this does not solve the problem!
My apologies, the first command should read: rm -rf ~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme/tragedy
Ah, this worked, problem is solved, thank you very much :)
That is good to hear! I've updated the main description as I'm sure you aren't the only person who has had this problem. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I'm here to rebuke you for the latest change. You had this at near perfection. Then you changed the color of the widget desktop and task manager icon (the ones you click to add widgets or control them). On top of that you removed the nice white masked face on the shut down. Put it back the way it was. There was no need to make that change. It looked outstanding. Now it looks cheap. Luckily I caught it on some of my other computers and it hasn't affected this desktop, but sheesh man. Can you fix this thing or is it a wild animal out of your control by now?
Whoa fella, chill out. This gentleman has been kind enough to share his hard work for all of us to enjoy and has been gracious to all requests and constructive criticism, give him a break. If you look at the release notes you'll see that the former shutdown dialog is still there, just renamed to stop it being used. If you'd like something changed then a civil request or suggestion will get you a lot further than sarcasm and at the end of the day the files supplied can fairly easily modified to suit your needs.
I would appreciate you using a whoa for yourself. My comments were far less biting than yours. I gave him a strong feedback. His recent change deserved it. On the other hand my comments deserved nothing from you. So, please, if you can't be constructive, at least as constructive as I was, please don't comment. Good Day.
Hello, thanks for the feedback. I agree the color change wasn't really necessary, but I did so because it actually brought out the network monitor widget text. I didn't realize it affected the "cashew" color as well. I don't think the cashew should inherit ANY color (or even exist, for that matter). However, I will seriously consider changing back to the previous color scheme because of this, since it seems to be forced upon us. As for the shutdown graphic, I did include the old one as "shutdowndialog-old.svg" and you can get it back simply by renaming it to "shutdowndialog.svg" and removing or renaming the existing one. I wasn't entirely happy with the way the mask looked and I haven't felt like screwing w Blender lately to be honest. With KDE 4.3 (and I thought 4.2) it does not leave a big empty gap where the graphic could be, and I feel it looks better without it until I get the time to adjust the mask model to my liking. As far as "taming the beast" goes...well it's always under my control. But please keep in mind that this is my very first attempt at creating a theme for plasma, and I am still getting a feel for all of the little quirks involved. Your feedback certainly helps as I simply don't have time to test every different possible setup on my own. Actually I haven't even been using Tragedy much recently, as I've been working on a new theme. Also remember, What you consider "fixed", someone else may consider "broken" so it is somewhat difficult to keep everyone happy while attempting to improve the theme. I am flattered that you like it enough to feel so strongly about it, but please do keep the demands and insinuations to yourself. I would never intentionally f up the theme, but I'm not afraid to experiment in order to improve it over the long haul. I recommend keeping a backup of the previous version, if it's that big of a deal to you. =)
