that is the theme i have always wanted for kde thank you :)
excellent theme, just what I wanted without the unnecessary frills.
I am so loving my desktop since I installed this theme. However I would have a couple of suggestions / requests. I like to have the task bar tall enough so that you can see the icons in the multi-desktop pager. Because of this and the padding and borders you have used it does mean that my task bar is quite a bit taller than would be ideal. Would it be possible to reduce the amount of padding and the thickness of borders??
The other problem I came across with this theme is that the transparent background can lead to problems reading some pop up menus. The transparent background means that it can be difficult to read menus that overlie existing applications. I have no idea how themes work or whether it would be possible to customize it so that menus overlying other windows/application had less transparent backgrounds - but unfortunately this was reason enough for me to install an alternative theme. I hope you keep working on this theme because the idea is great.
Is there any chance you would make matching Google Chrome/Chromium theme? I know this is too much to ask (I have tried to make it myself but I failed). I just thought that maybe you use Chromium too or something... it would be cool to have it nicely integrated in KDE4. Anyway - your theme is the best, thanx for making it.
Or GNOME/Gtk+ theme?
The theme I was looking for. Thank you :)
I actually saw something very like this theme once, when Plasma half-way crashed and the Oxygen-themed widgets on my dashboard suddenly lost their backgrounds -- at least I think that's what happened; at any rate, they were completely transparent except for the text and a faint outline of the whole widget, which is pretty much exactly what I want. I thought maybe I'd finally fixed the display settings somehow, until I noticed that the bottom panel showed nothing, and right-clicking it pushed Plasma over the edge, and it crashed and restarted -- and the widgets were suddenly black again. >:( Seamless to the rescue! :D
As you noted, all the themes seem to try to hit you over the head with the widgets. What I want is a Plasma workspace that's as unobtrusive and inoffensive as possible, not something that's all up in my face. I rather wish Plasma's dashboard worked a bit more like Mac's (i.e., hidden away until you call it), which is even more unobtrusive, but this Seamless style looks like a close second. :) Vielen Dank!
This is exactly what I was looking for. This theme does exactly what it promised. It seamlessly and beautifully integrates into the desktop. Thank you very much!
I love this theme. Wonderfully simple and understated. Minimal. Just what I look for. Any chance the toolbar could be made to have a transparent background?
Thanks for the reviews! I haven't looked into compositing styles yet. If I find time, I'll add something like Glassified's taskbar next week.
