Will there be a means to install on Arch based distros?

tosta

Not yet. But you're welcome to contribute if you're know how to build Arch packages with CMake/Cpack.

tosta

The package is available to be installed from the Arch Linux AUR. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vinyl You can use your favorite Arch AUR helper to install it.

Thank you, I did notice it a few days ago and tried to install it but got a build error seemingly related to my available extra-cmake-modules version being 6.6.0 when 6.7.0 is requested to build the package I wanted to post the output on the AUR page but was unable to login to do so.

Available for Plasma 5.27 ?? (I'm using Debian 12)

tosta

No. It's for Plasma 6.

How to install on debian/ubuntu based distros like TuxedoOs, Kubuntu etc?

tosta

It's for Plasma 6, so not supported on Kubuntu yet. On TuxedoOs you must to build it manually. Please see the github pages.

plinger360

Not everyone knows how to build manually. You don't even have step by step guidlines. Can't find anywhere. The instructions are there for fedora.

tosta

I will try to build a deb (only for Debian - Kubuntu don't support Plasma 6 yet) for it. For now you need to install the same dependencies and build tools needed to build Breeze and use cmake to build your copy. If you need help for it, please create a issue on github asking for help.

plinger360

Yes please build a deb file. That's much easier to install. I tried to install all dependencies but few of them weren't successfully installed. Tried to add few other repositories but that didn't help. Tried to get help from ChatGpt, that couldn't help either. So, when you make something public like this, i think you should keep in mind that there are many newbe gonna try this out and they need something easy.

9 Excellent work. One thing though if I may. The shadow box around the tabs in applications like Kate looks a wee bit wonky. Is there a way to remove that? I have tried everything (I think) but may have missed soemthing. Other than that this is pristine. Thank you. This is now my Application theme for KDNEON with Plasma 6.

tosta

Please give a try to new version 6.1.5. Thanks!
