GPSBook core software is able to manage traces organized by dates and make the selection of traces easy through its interface based on a calendar view.
GPSBook core software work with plugins which are providing all the features to the software. These plugins provide the capability to
* Load and save data in various format (Note: Early release only support gpx)
* Apply filters into the data loaded
* Edit data, routes, point of interest
* Display information into graphs, tables or maps in 2D and 3D
There is no limitation regarding the number of plugin you can use.
GPSBook is an open source software, free and able to run on Linux, MacOS X and Windows.
Note: GPSBook default language is English.

* Allow to drag and drop traces from track with date and track without associated date.
* Add gpsbabel plugin directly integrated into GPSBook thanks to GeBabbel. Now BPSBook is compatible with thousands of GPS fromats.
Version 0.1-409M for Linux
* The main interface is now capable to display traces without date. This kind of feature is planned to be use to manage a file of point of interest like geocaches.
* Add SRTM plugin able to use NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission data to correct altitudes of track and to generate terrain into Graphic3D plugin. This feature has been added using the open source code written within the project OpenStreetMap.
* Add LOC plugin able to load loc file (use by geocaching.com for example).
* Add cookie management into Internet Browser to improve browsing experience.
* Add more website into Internet Browser plugin. (Note: It is not possible to directly download LOC file from geocaching.com because of Webkit bug [49650]).
