Description: CloudCompare is a 3D point cloud (and triangular mesh) processing software. It has been originally designed to perform comparison between 3D point clouds (such as those obtained with a laser scanner) or between a point cloud and a triangular mesh. It relies on a specific octree structure that enables great performances. It was also meant to deal with huge point clouds (typically more than 10 millions points, and up to 120 millions with 2 Gb of memory).
It is now becoming a more generic tool to edit, process and visualize point clouds and triangular meshes. Several plugins are also available (advanced shaders, meshing, ambient occlusion, Kinect acquisition, PCL bridge, etc.).
The project can be compiled on Windows and Linux platforms (32bits or 64bits architecture). It is based on CMake/C++.Last changelog:
Latest version: 06/27/2012 - Few fixes for the 64 bits version.
