The Aurora Project (also known as the Aurora Desktop Environment) aims to be a simple yet effective and intuitive Desktop Environment. The Aurora Project is a new Desktop Environment for the GNU/Linux platform. Currently it's in a pre-beta stage with only partion functionality but is still very usable if run under another DE such as GNOME.

Currently it looks alot like MS Windows, but expect this to change. Not drastically, but a bit.

Stuff on the rise: a sourceforge.net project space code refinement, code commenting and new UI theme/slightly changed start menu layout.

It's written in C++ with the help of gtkmm and wncklib.
