Knmap
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
The main Knmap window provides for the entry of nmap options and the display of nmap-generated output. Multiple concurrent nmap scans, each with a different 'profile', can be controlled by the one instance of Knmap. Profiles allow for frequently used parameters sets to be easily invoked.
Of course, full documentation is provided - including a version of the nmap man page in HTML form which is linked to the option windows via the "What's This?" facility.
2.1
==
* If root-only options are selected by a 'normal' user, the 'kdesu' facility is invoked to run nmap as root
* Previously all nmap output was "wrapped", this is now an option. The default is to wrap long lines.
2.0
==
* Minor syntax changes
* No major changes since 2.0-beta-1
2.0-beta-1
=======
* Added support for multiple concurrent scans
1.0
==
* Added support for the "-6" and "-A' nmap options
* Changes to the docbook documentation for the "-6" and "-A" option support and other small changes.
1.0-beta-1
=======
* This is a completely new program!
* There was a prior Knmap - the last version was 0.9 but that version does not compile under the current Qt / KDE environments.

Knmap is ufficially in Debian ;-)
Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this. It's very nice to know that one's effort is appreciated to that extent.
Here's a package for debian unstable / KDE 3.5: http://harrys-home.gmxhome.de/knmap_2.1-1_i386.deb
Hi, Thanks for this program. I have a request though. There are some options which need root priviledge. I would really like that running knmap asks for root password (using kdesu). Then if I press 'Ignore', it should use current user's priviledge (else root). Is it possible? It would be greatly appreciated.
Hmm, interesting suggestion. Watch this space!
Release 2.1 now has this functionality - although it wasn't as easy as it first appeared. With the nmap process running as a child (grandchild actually) of the kdesu process instead of the Knmap process, capturing the nmap output was a little tricky. I also took the opportunity to add the option to word-wrap the nmap output. Thx for your suggestion.

I noticed someone made a .deb of this program. Could someone compile a rpm of it?
I have made some Debian Packages for Stable, Testing and Unstable... You can found them on my repository: http://repos.knio.it Cheers, Claudio
see this one http://sourceforge.net/projects/nmapgui/ it is a project of summer of code. it caters for almost the same things but at a price of $4500 (google boutie) :-)
Not sure who looses. Me for not getting the $4500 or Google for paying someone $4500 for something I did in less than two weeks. (Yes, I really do know who lost! :( )
hi, could you give a screenshot to your app? thanks.
Tried http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=152516 ? :^)
Done - oversight on my behalf.
