Here are two screenshots of my desktop. The dock is awn. All the icons are custom made. The desktop that I currently have is the one with the planets background. By default there are only two icons, the battery one (blue glow) and the ubuntu one (awn main menu). The rest are running programs. I was using the clock ring screenlet and the bottom panel was permanently hidden. But I was having trouble with the screenlet (randomly disappearing) so I defaulted to the panel clock. The theme is a modified SlicknesS by theRob.

I like simple desktops because I am easily distracted. Both of these setups have worked very well at keeping me focused, and I'd suggest the same thing if you find you're wasting a lot of time... I also like to maximize screen space but at the same time have large icons.

I think the blue background may be from vista. Am I allowed to upload this?
