Is that spiftacity you're running? If so, I'm guessing you're also running on xorg-air? If not, I'd be quite interested to know what you're using :)
No didn't attempt spiftacity... I tried XGL for a while, wasn't impressed when Java swing apps didn't work quite well... So decided to ditch metacity for xfwm4 (xfce 4.3 I think), as it has out the box compositing, so need for Xorg-air
Yup, XFWM has the most stable compositing manager (from all the ones I've tried) ATM. I used it in Gnome for a while before switching to Xfce completely. I'd like to try the menu, but I'm too lazy to install, log out, log into Gnome, etc. ^^;
I reckon it wouldn't take that much modification to get it working on he xfce panel... At the end of the day it's only a popup window and from what I know it's quite easy to write xfce applets.
How did you do it?!
Easy! I found that slab (the menu) was put into CVS, I thought about compiling then instead found a deb package! http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=208131 has details on installing it, can't remember where I found the deb package.
