Description: EmotiKons is a smiley icon theme for Kopete (kopete.kde.org). It has the look and feel of Crystal.
Installation Instructions: 1) Untar EmotiKons.tar.gz 2) Copy the EmotiKons directory to $KDEDIR/share/apps/kopete/pics/emoticons 3) Select from the menu and click on 4) Select Appearance in the left panel of the Preferences windows and Click on the Emoticons tab 5) Select EmotiKons from the Emoticons tab and click 6) Now you can use the EmotiKons smileys in Kopete
but i can't use them!
i'm unable to use kopete! :-(
i'm using waimea wm (based on fluxbox) and when i start kopete i don't see the kopete window!
kopete shows up in the task list, but there is no window!
any chance to use it without KDE itself?
thx
Patrik
Just read here that emoticons have to be copied to the global emoticon-dir. I'll add support for emoticon-themes per user now so users can install themes too if they do not have root on the machine.
Heh, this actually already works since I redid the emoticon handling.
On next release kopete-users can install their emoticon-themes to $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kopete/pics/emoticons/ as well :)

You have to start kopete undocked. Edit the kopete config file (~/.kde/share/config/kopeterc for me) and replace StartDocked=true by StartDocked=false
