Description: So the time had come to have a great looking desktop (to see what i mean just look at the 3-rd screenshot). So stop drooling and download the tarball ASAP. Then just unpack it and run build_keramik.sh and you will have the best looking desktop so far (who knows what the future will bring). That's it. Enjoy. I hope will be seeing these beauties in the next release of KDE.
Plz keep in mind that i did only the tarball that reunite the keramik style from kdelibs & keramik decorations from kdebase (both from CVS) and made them to compile and install on every distro (i think). So the people who made this possible are (this are taken from the headers of the c++ files so i don't know if they are correct):
Keramik decorations: -------------------- Fredrik HLast changelog:
I included the kicker transparency patch from teax but with a slight modification: if u change the desktop picture u have to drag the kicker in a different position to update his background. Enjoy.
I finally got it to work on my windows but I can't get the transparent kicker. I'm Running Redhat 7.3. If I right click preferences->look & feel on the bottom it says that it cannot load the theme image. If someone can take that info and run with it and find me an answer I will be very thankful.

Does anybody tried to install keramik on rh8? It gave an error that say that i don't have freetype and openmotiff..but i have it installed..Could anybody help me?
Thanks
How do I get those buttons and scroll bars? I am using whatever version of KDE that Mandrake 9 comes with, and I still have the same old boring buttons.
Ok, I got the buttons and scroll bars, but they are reddish.
I am using whatever version of KDE that Mandrake 9 comes with. How do I make them blueish?
Some things are blueish in Konqueror Web Browser. But nothing else.
I installed Keramik on Kde 3.
If you get errors saying something is missing, go into the rpm manager, search for what is missing and install it. I had to download FreeType and Lesstif beacause I could not install it from mandrake's rpms. After having installed something, delete the keramik folder and untar keramik again.
The most imporatant thing, in Mandrake 9, KDE 3 is installed in opt/kde3 so open build_keramik.sh in a text editor, and change line :
./configure
by
./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3
And Keramik would be installed.
i have
kwin_keramik_configure.la
kwin_keramik_configure.so
kwin_keramik.la
kwin_keramik.so
and copied the following to /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/styles:
keramik.so
keramik.la
But keramik does not show up in kde control panel? Am I missing
something, or what? How do I get keramik to show up in the control panel,
so I can use it?
thank
i've tried to install 3 times now each time i get the same error. there's no standard './configure' file to change.
says that i need a different make file?
translucent kicker would be great, installed the keramik style by itself, looks terrific.

In first congratulations for the theme.
I have installed it but I don't find the color scheme of the screenshot.
Can you tell me its name or where I can download?
Thanks.
After I installed this and got it all working, whenever I'd start up KDE, my selected panel background would come up fine, and as soon as the splash screen hit 100%, it would revert back to the original grey. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The buttons/scroll bars are in reference to the 3rd screenshot.

i dunno why but keramik makes konqueror crash on exit
This is the only drawback of this style...otherwise, kudos
Caldera OLWS 3.11, KDE 3.0.1
Does anybody knows if there's a way to make it work in Slack 8.1. "Crash on exit" seems to be a mystery...
I want this but on my OS/2 machine! :(
