Hi, great work! i left a link with my desktop image. But i had to add this lines to the theme.conf file to see the needles:
[Needle]
# height of the biggest needle, in pixels
height = 3
# horizontal left offset, in pixels.
offset x = 10
I don't know if this happened to others, but i hope help with that text.

Copied extracted folders to /usr/share/avant-window-navigator/applets/cairo-clock/themes, selected Faenza in applet's preferences and there is no change.
AWN version 0.4.1 in Ubuntu 10.10.

Well, all I did was to adapt what you already did, but thanks anyway :P

I've only tested it on Screenlets clock. I'll see what's the problem and fix it.
Fixed. The problem was I didn't make all the SVGs, so I added some blank ones.
