I like these, but when I saw the title, I thought that this was going to be a gnome menu button with the word 'Open' on it. Weird, I know, but I was just thinking what a good linuxy equivalent to the word 'Start' on Windows would be. I think 'Open' is it! How about a version of these buttons that just says: 'Open'? I know it's odd, I jsut think it would be cool.
for those who havent figured out how to use the buttons.
edit it with InkScape, and make sure you select the whole button you wish tu use. then export it as a png bitmap
then go to Gconf, in apps > panel > object_x > and edit the key custom_icon, a put the path where u exported the bitmap
supose /usr/local/share/button1.png
