- processor icon depends on used processor (intel and amd icom, for unkown - default icon),
- display icon depends on used graphic card (nvidia and ati, for unkown - default icon),
- added wired and wireless icon,
- add graphic card memory.
The source code I'll upload at the end of this week.

Hi, I've add new options for "Network Information":
- default interface name,
- ip address for wired network,
- ip address for wireless network,
- default gateway address,
- default dns server.
But I'm only begginer, so I've done this in easiest way for me, which isn't effective and for advance programers will look very stupid (sorry:]). Network info works only for two interfaces: eth0 and wlan0. Maybe in future, when I'll come better programmer, I'll be able to do this in proper way.

Hi, I've done some modifications of kio_sysinfo (new theme, in the future I would like to add some new features). This is a screenshot of working sysinfo. The code is almost done, so I will upload source soon. I would like to know if you like it? Maybe you have some ideas? Any comments are welcome

that would be awsome if there where rpm norach and deb packages for the kde 3.5 series user.
1.You could use only two generic icons for processors type (e.g. "AMD" & "Intel inside"), in place of various specific processors (Core2, P3, etc.).This informations are showed in left side. Analog for the graphic processors or bridge cipset. 2.Please don't forget me with graphic representations of partitions usage. Congratulations!

Will the Network status show if there are multiple network connections? The CPU shown in the screenshot is an Intel processor, but the icon says AMD. I'm guessing the icon is just the standard icon from Oxygen or whatever. However, would it be possible to grep Intel or AMD from the proc name and then show an appropriate icon? Along similar lines, it would be nice to have a separate icon from Windows/NTFS partitions under drives.

It looks like a great application (very similar to KInfoCenter), but what I was looking for was something more like Belarc Advisor, except for Linux: http://www.download.com/Belarc-Advisor/3000-2094_4-10007277.html?cdlPid=10854712 There doesn't seem to be anything quite like Advisor for Linux; Sysinfo comes closest, but its your project. Maybe I'll just add it to my todo list of future projects...
To me, it would be great if Sysinfo could include more detailed information about the hardware I have installed, such as not only the amount of RAM my computer has and how much of that is used/free, but also who made the RAM, the RAM's type, in which DIMM slot each module is located, and each module's speed. Some other devices that would be great to have more information on are motherboards and hard drives. dmidecode will output much of that extra information, but it requires root access (at least in my current distro) and is not very convenient to use. If you're interested in such a feature, I'm willing to assist its development. I'm not yet much a programmer, but would help any way I could.
P.S. Sysinfo is awesome!

I like it and I use it but... 1.The CPU & GCP icons is not according with the real informations.(e.g. AMD icon for Intel processor) 2. I like more to see graphic informations for disk partitions (bar-graph or pie) and numeric informations like in old version. In general is an good and useful stuff. Thanks for it!

I think it's sweet!
The one thing I dislike about the current version (that is, the version included in OpenSuse 11) is the "Network status" part. Ḯm totally incapable of understanding the source so I won't even try...but it seems like the "Network status" part pretty much assumes you are running networkmanager. I don't (which seems to be the default for wired-connections in Suse 11), so all I get is "Unknown network status". It would be great to get at least something like: Network manager: not running Current IP: Current default gateway: Current DNS servers: The last three shouldn't be hard to figure out even when network manager isn't running. It would be nice if it could utilize hddtemp and other S.M.A.R.T. capable daemons if installed as well (maybe it does if I recompile it myself?) Other than that, I like the new look!
