Don't know if gentoo devs are open to patches like this, we don't even have taskbar-compiz in portage...
Maybe in desktop-effects overlay?
I have also some other patches in my kde-overlay (3.5.10), like suspend/hibernate from kdm, kubuntu logout for ksmserver + hibernate/suspend, rubberband, execute-feedback, kmilo compact, patch for kcontrol for setting dpms via kpowersave...

I just installed kde 3.5.10 and kicker
crashed every time I installed the
taskbar-compiz..... I tried recompiling
several times but didn't help...
Then I saw this and it stated that
it works with kde 3.5.10 :D:D
thanks man! now I can use compiz again ;D
