I like this modification of the Ambiance theme. The gradients give the theme more depth than the original theme's flat look.
My only question is whether you will come out with a Radiance version of this. The one found on this site is using the Equinox metacity (which is easy to change), but the problem is the panels and the menus which still use the Ambiance look than the Radiance look. Think you can make it or recommend a means for changing it myself?
Actually, I've managed to make the changes (it's my first mod of ANY theme) and if it's alright with you, I'll post it with credit to you and link to you if that's okay?
Thanks for the kind words !
I have myself strongly been inspired by the equinox theme and ubuntu's radiance theme. So I'm glad you've reused my stuff to fit your needs. Feel free to publish and share :)
Thanks for the comment and the feedback :)
The panel background is not rendered properly in xfce because the image I use for the gradient is only 24px tall (which causes the background to repeat itself for bigger panels - This issue will also lead to ugly backgrounds in vertical panels).
Some workarounds would be to :
- resize your xfce panel from 28 to 24 pixels
- replace the image panel_bg.png with panel_bg_30.png (shipped with the archive)
- set the panel background to a plain color
Regards.
dont like the color of the processbars, they're a little to red imo.
but other than that its pretty nice, personally i dont like the flatness of the toolbars in Ambience theme and Radiance theme, so this is a good alternative to those themes.
kind regards mikedk

Hello, maybe i'm wrong. But is it possible that the archive is damaged? I can't extract it because it is not a gzipped archive. best regards wiki
