It uses the clearlooks-engine but with modified panel-backgrounds. If anybody know of a way to control the font-color for *just* the panels, I'll be really happy (I would like the text for taskbar entries and menus to be white, but in order to do that, I have to make the default text color white... not so good).

This is actually my first theme ever, I hope you will enjoy it!

This theme is great. The colors are very nice, I prefeer them over the default ubuntu theme. The skinning of the panels is also a very nice touch. Please consider posting this theme on http://art.ubuntu.com/
Already did, just logged in to check it and it says it's been "approved", but I can't find it on the site (same name as here). :/
Great theme! Although I await a fix for the panel menu text, it's nice looking overall. However, there is some serious bug in the way the panel backgrounds are done, because if you go over 24px, you get this (exaggerated for the example) http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/9686/screenshot7cd.png
Ah, that's just because the background for the panels only are 24px in height. Might change that in the next release. :) Meanwhile, just comment out the last row in the gtkrc-file in the folder "gtk-2.0", the one that includes panel.rc.
Where i can find that wallpaper? It's so cute!

great update, one thing that could use some work is the GNOME menu uses black fonts that are hard to see on the brown background.
brown background on the menus? I don't have that.
I think he means the Applications/Places/System menu. If that's the case he's right 'cause I can't read what says on mine (since I have a dark display).
Oh, yeah...so it is. I don't know how to fix that. Nothing I tried worked.

Great! I just tested it and it works nicely. :)

Please, add this to art.ubuntu.com! Very well done. :-) Pascal
Done! :D
The initial posts of your theme on the Ubuntu Forums were pretty good, and this just keeps getting better. Can't wait to see what the final release will look like.
very nice theme, cept it could probally use a little tweaking, hope to see updates done soon
Yup, that's quite right. Please leave some comments if you find something you'd want me to change (or do it yourself, that works too). :)
how do you actually make the theme? i can't find a program that will do it.
You'll have to create the xml-files for the theme by hand. Try looking at the art and xml-files for some themes to get a grip on it. I belive my xml-files are quite easy to understand (they're based what I've found other themes using, so do some research and you should be up and running quite fast). Try creating the artwork using the Gimp or Inkscape, they're both great applications. :)
themes can use svg? cool! (i'm such a noob at this, lol)
Nah, not yet I'm afraid... so anything you do in Inkscape will have to be exported in png-format. :)
what icon theme are you using?? i want it badly!
It's called NuoveXT :) Take a look here: http://nuovext.pwsp.net/
