The theme is compatible with the latest GTK 3.4 and uses the Unico engine. It also includes the elementary Dark GTK 2.0 theme using Murrine engine.

Ubuntu users can install elementary Dark from our themes PPA using the following commands,
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:satyajit-happy/themes
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install elementary-dark-theme

Installation Instructions for other distros:
Extract the zip file to the themes directory i.e. "~/.themes/" or "/usr/share/themes/"
Use Gnome Tweak tool to choose the theme, or run the following commands in Terminal,
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme "elementary Dark"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences theme "elementary Dark"

Note:
If you use Gnome 3.2, download the theme from launchpad https://launchpad.net/~satyajit-happy/+archive/themes/+files/elementary-dark-theme_2012.01.30-0~satya164~oneiric.tar.gz
This theme is not compatible with old Gnome 3.0.

When I enable this theme, the window theme is the regular elementary theme, using gnome 3.4.
