Description: icoGEN will generate for you whole new iconsets based on SVG files. You can change colors of icon, see preview of the result, and finally apply generated theme.
I added 7 themes, that you can change: - Humanity Colors - Elementary - Ubuntu Mono Dark - Lucid Lynx - Ubuntu Mono Light - Lucid Lynx - Meliae - Light - Meliae - Dark - Chromo Erectus
You can also add all other themes based on SVG (details in README)
############# HOW TO INSTALL & RUN #################
If you have Ubuntu:
download and install deb package then Programs->Graphics->Icon Generator
otherwise:
1. Unpack archive
right click on icoGEN.zip and Extract here or unzip icoGEN.zip
2. Run icoGEN
click right on icoGEN.jar and click Open with OpenJDK Java 6 Runtime or double click on start.sh and click Run
a word of warning to anyone that downloads this icon pack it does not work and it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to remove so avoid it like the plague if you can.
Can't exactly be spam when attempting to download to Ubuntu does indeed bring about the "package is of bad quality" error message. I also received it.
Would think listing the error details would help pinpoint where the program may need more polishing.
I have the same problem mentioned by erosenninrho: installed from .deb package, but, when i run the program, it doesn't show the preview icons and, although i can change the values and generate the iconset, it doesn't exist at all.
Very good... I recomend you add a .deb installer though... I cant assist u since I dont know how to do that, but Im sure that an installer and a shortcut will make things easier for beginners or lazy people like me :P

I throw another idea ... It will be great if the script gets automatically the "base" icontheme if it is not installed in our system... for example, in a fresh install of your program I have the possibility to tuneup meliae theme, but the user might have not installed that icontheme... Instead of install and then modify it, the script just modify something that eventually wont work, because meliae is not installed in the system: the script must install it or eventually tell the user that have to do so... (by refering somewhere...)

Hmmm, program already contains all needed iconsets, and it should automatically generate all icons. You don't have to download any new icons. Write exactly what you do (step by step), maybe it is some bug...
Hi again. I tested it again installing from source and it worked ok. Although after deleting the program I downloaded the .deb file, installed it, and found out that interface looks incomplete. Also both brighter and darker buttons doesnt work properly (only chages the color of the first box named "top"). When I appy the iconset generated it puts gnome iconset (the ugly one)... so, It seems not working now. I attach an splash.

i am iranian.(i dont know very good english).in my country have very hard filltering and your miror have problme. please upload your file in other mirors like media fire or rapidshare.

This program should be updated to future Ubuntu-Versions like 12.04 or even 12.10!! And a better bugfixing needs to be done... Greetings Karmicbastler
