Hi author. I've installed through your method, the contents arrived to folder /usr/share/plymouth/themes/dark-mint/ . But, your plymouth on Reboot and closing just shows 4 white points :-(, and some text. Plz, some help. OS: LM 17.3 Mate x64 on MSI-AMD PC. P.S.: in my case, to make that default Linux Mint plymouth work, I had to add the line 'GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=auto' to file: /etc/default/grub

I've unistalled Dark Mint plymouth through command 'sudo /usr/share/plymouth/themes/dark-mint/uninstall.sh'. Awful, the default Mint Plymouth could not return. Please. Help.

Hi again. From unzipped "dark-mint-plymouth-theme-master" the issue is fixed by changing all paths '/usr/share/plymouth/themes/...' (on the text files and .sh files) by '/lib/plymouth/themes/...'. To Linux Mint 17.x.

I love your theme! i think it's the best out there .... but could u update it to work with cinnamon 3.0 linuxmint 18. The folder for plymouth/theme is in /usr/share now and not any more in /lib/plymouth, and when i try to install and updte initramfs, i've got this error msg : update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-4.4.0-21-generic W: plymouth module (/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/plymouth//.so) missing, skipping that theme. Is there something to do as for a workaround? Thk you very much!

Hi ubuntix07. I had the same issue and the thing is that this theme doesn't work with Plymouth 0.9.2 on LinuxMint 18 or Ubuntu 16.04. I am using this theme with a tricky: I used the xubuntu-logo-theme. I changed the background to this one, the spinner and the logo. Then, you have to edit xubuntu-logo.script. In the line 207, you have to change: "((spinner.GetHeight() / 2 + 80));" to: "(spinner.GetHeight() / 2));" Select the theme with update-alternatives and after that sudo upadate-initramfs -u. It works for me!!! Cheers

Thks a lot for your workaround ... I thought about it, but a didn't know yet what theme to use! But it works half, i've got only the splash at restart or shutdown, not at start! I've got the same issue with other themes. I'm using Mint 18 ... and there are a few things which doesn't work ... in comparison with 17.3, .. one of the best OSI've never have!
