Thanks, it didn't work for me first, then I opened the script and followed the instruction to replace desktop with my desktop name and it worked. I'm on non english Gnome edition.
Damn, I have the same problem like okaoka.
Hi, I am using Ubuntu (Gutsy). The script creates as many shortcut as there are words in the file title. I modified it to aim at my desktop (actually only changed the d to D). Is there any workaround for this problem? See capture here: http://www.flickcabin.com/sessions/74d246a1ebd1aaf9d16af6751c0c5de237f472aa/Capture.png Thanks
Sorry, this should work... capture
hi okaoka, What exactly your mean? What was "words in the file title"? Is the filename wrong or you don't want the "octets" appearance? By the way, I'm using Ubuntu (Gutsy) too. This script work correctly in my system.
What I meant was that, if the file's title has 2 words, like in the example, "New File", instead of creating only one shortcut named "New File", it creates 2 shortcuts, one with each word. If the Title has 3 words it will create 3 shortcuts, ad so on. And none of these shortcuts will work. The example here shows the original file ("New File") and the 2 sortcuts created. http://www.imagebam.com/image/b6d06a2217503 Do you know what is wrong?
How do I use this?
