Hello there, I can confim, that it doesnt plays most of radios in the built in list while puts the cpu to 100 on Debian Lenny (Python 2.5.2), and also on Squeeze (Python 2.5.4). Today I tryed to add the URL of .m3u/.pls files to the custom list, and it works now well! Many thanks to the author for this great screenlet! Bye
I ask the author to modify radioscreenlets.py to the following: self.mplayer.play(" -ao alsa "+ta) Dont let the Radioscreenlet rules our audio hardware! Thanks!
Hi. I really like this screenlet but I Have some problem with it. 1. When I try to play an radio station and there if a problem with connecting it I see the python process kills my processor (takes almost 100%). It stops first when I click the stop button. When I do nothing it stops never. 2. I can not play stations with .ogg streaming. For example i can not play http://stream.radiobaobab.pl:8000/radiobaobab.ogg I use the news openSuse 11.0

The BBC Radio 5 football commentaries aren't available using this URL, due to 'contractual obligations', it's for UK users only. If this is you, just change the URL in the menu.xml config file to http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/live/live.asx and it'll work. I don't if this works for non-UK IPs.
I love this screenlet and have been using it a lot. Only prob for me is when I switch stations it crashes my network connection. Could be the screenlet itself, could be mplayer.
First, I do have Mplayer, but still 99% of the stations either don't work from the start, or used to work but now they no longer work. What the hell is wrong??? Second, where and how do I get new streams to add them to the menu.xml???
Nice screenlet, but is there any chance of an add stations option in the next build?
you can add stations your self by editing the menu.xml
Silly question; where can I find menu.xml to edit it?
I cannot get this screenlet to play any radio station. I am running gutsy 64 bit. Can anyone help? Or can anyone point me in the right direction. Much appreciated. Cheers.
do you have mplayer
I'm a Mint user and I don't think I have the usr/share/screenlets . Do I create one?
Sorry, meant usr/local/share/screenlets
Hi there! I've been trying to make some radios play here. When I try to load them (some of the default stations and one that I added myself), they won't start. So I tried to load them through command line, and I saw that mplayer complains about avisynth.dll. Googled the error and found out that if I download the playlist file, mplayer plays it, but won't play it online. Has anyone been through this? How to solve it?
Great screenlet, however I would like to suggest adding a record button - it would be great to record some of that great BBC radio programme and I believe the requested feature is trivial to implement with mplayer (mplayer -dumpstream "<url>" -dumpfile <file>)... Thanx for making this ;)
Good good good work! Is possible a screenlet for "smoothjazz.com" radio that shows what it is sounding and the image that puts in the own page? This radio sounds constantly in my life. Sorry for my english. :) Greetings
i have mplayer and screenlets 0.10 on gutsy... it loads ok, but does not play anything... two things: 1. i'm accessing the net through a proxy, could that be it? 2. what codecs do i need? thanks..
What about a version for screenlets 0.1!! That one does not work for 0.10!!! The start stop buttons were a very good idea!!! Please i need a version for 0.10 because it is realy usefull!!!! Thanks for your work!
hum , i have 0.10 installed , it works ,0.9 is the same as 0.10 all screenlets that work on 0. should work on 0.10
