Just got done customizing SolydK after a fresh install, went to install this and immediatly after install the system locked up. Had to do a manual reboot and now after logging in during bootup all I see is black screen. Looks like I now have to reinstall the whole OS all over again?!
Hi, it crashes, adding it to desktop or panel makes plasma crashes. Starting it using plasmoidviewer doesn't crash. hi, i wanted to try gnomenu but when i add this plasmoid plasma-desktop crashes,if i launch it from konsole that's the output http://paste.ubuntu.com/526274/ how can i resolve this? thx
It's nice to see this on KDE, but indeed it crashes. It's weird, because when I open it with plasmoidviewer, it doesn't crash. Do you know what the problem could be?
Hmm, seems like it's working now. Only problem I have is: I can't change the button. I don't want that Foot-button, I want another button like Glow for example. But when I change that in the settings and press OK, it doesn't change. Even after removing and readding the plasmoid. By any chance, do you know whats the problem?
I'm sorry for bugging you, but I found out that after a restart of my laptop, it does crash and makes plasma unstartable until you remove the GnoMenu plasmoid. The output is the following: /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py:127: RuntimeWarning: PyOS_InputHook is not available for interactive use of PyGTK set_interactive(1) gconf backend /home/vistausss/.kde/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids/GnoMenu/contents/icons/logo.png GnoMenu 2.5 settings load gmenu found, using it as default menu parser start shaping window loading icon cache icon theme in cache Using own key method - binding Xlib.protocol.request.QueryExtension Fatal Python error: PyEval_AcquireThread: non-NULL old thread state plasma-desktop(9300): Communication problem with "plasma-desktop" , it probably crashed. This is a great plasmoid, I had some problem getting it to run without crashing on kde 4.4.3. Now the only problem I have is the menu is popping under my other open windows,
are you running the bzr version or the 2.5? the poping under other windows is a kwin bug, just go into your kwin prefs and select the GnoMenu window to popup above all other windows
Thanks! the kwin setting worked. I'm using the bzr version.
can you run this in console to find out why it crashes? plasmoidviewer GnoMenu
it no longer crashes on me. I had to install gnomenu a few times to get it to work so it may not be your plasmoid causing the problem.
It crash on kde 4.4.3 (just on mouseover...) I have gnome on the same pc and gnomenu works. Bye!
can you run this in console to find out why it crashes? plasmoidviewer GnoMenu
I was just recently checking out GNOME and found myself wishing KDE had something like GnoMenu. Very nice work; much appreciated.
