*The next version will follow 12/24 hr KDE user locale settings, but needs a plasma bugfix that will be included only in KDE 4.10.3. So next release will come only after 4.10.3 is releasedLast changelog:
*v0.12 Time displayed as it should be in 12 hr format, fixed plasmoid category
*v0.11: Change category from plasma binary to plasma script, to enable installation via Get Hot New Stuff
Like this plasmoid, but when you have rotating wallpapers & one pops up that's real close to the clock color, it's kinda hard to see. Tried adding your code to get the gray background behind the text, but it doesn't work. Wish there was a way to have the option to have a semi transparent box behind the plasmoid, but that's a bit much to ask. :D
Anyway, thanks for this Plasmoid, was just what I was looking for.
i'm brand new to linux (Mint 14 Maya Kubuntu) and have tried to add your fab minimal clock widget. However, when its dragged to desktop, I get the message that "org.kde.locale" is not installed.
How do I get this? Tried searching packages etc without success. Normal digital clock on task bar works.
Your help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
It's a great applet but can you add an option for the french system ?
24h clock and no am/pm
And the date like:
weekday Date month
(like "Thursday 16 May")
The language is not a problem since that uses system's language
Thanks for the applet

Hi flak, I noticed that the plasmoid uses the locale associated with the 'System Country' instead the one set as default Language, is this related in any way with the issue you explain about the 12/24 hour format?
the widget show 24-hours format with PM and AM.
example: 17:11 pm.
should show p.m. and a.m. only in 12-hour format
you should add in the options the 12-hours format

Hi, I'll need some to verify how the KDE locale settings work, especially in QML. Will fix it as soon as possible. Cheers,
From what I learned lately this seems to be a Qt regression that's fixed on latest 4.8.5. We will see... =)
Btw, I just packaged Minimal Clock for Arch and Chakra: http://i.imgur.com/qRrEatQ.png
Great, thanks!
Can you also create a similar one for calendar? Just to show calendar with current day highlighted.
Nice work, but why this widget isn't present in widget list of screen locker?

Minimal clock is showing a 24 hour clock instead of the system default 12 hour.
Very nice!!
love it but move it is a trouble :S
kubuntu 13.04, beautiful plasmoid, thank. there should be more of this type, style android.
It installed fine on Kubuntu 12/10 with KDE 4.9.5. I plan to mention it on our podcast--Sunday Morning Linux Review.
